In the wake of a tragic ailment that led to the untimely demise of Barrister Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, the immediate past Governor of Ondo State, the state was propelled into a whirlwind of political turmoil. Amidst this chaos, a shining example of strength and unwavering loyalty emerged - Deputy Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. Today, as he takes the helm as the Executive Governor of Ondo State, it is imperative that we reflect upon the trials and tribulations he endured, the dark forces that attempted to tarnish his reputation, and the hope and stability he brings to the state.
The passing of Governor Akeredolu left a void in the hearts of the people of Ondo State. It was a time of immense sadness and grief, as we lost a visionary leader who cared deeply for the development and progress of our dear state. The transition was marred by controversy, as instigated impeachment proceedings cast a pall over the state House of Assembly and left us in a state of uncertainty.
We cannot overlook the role played by unprofessional media practices during that trying time. Sensationalism and the spreading of baseless rumors further escalated the unrest and threatened the social fabric of our society. We must hold the media accountable for their indiscretions, as their actions only served to deepen divisions and undermine the progress of our state.
Amidst the chaos, one man stood tall, displaying immense resilience and unwavering loyalty - Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. This extraordinary gentleman weathered the storm with a calmness that belied the circumstances surrounding him. His faith in God and steadfast loyalty to his late boss, Governor Akeredolu, showcased his character and integrity.
Those who instigated the unfortunate political ordeal in our state must do assessment of self and be truly repentant of their actions. Their opportunistic manipulation of the system to fulfill their own agendas disrupted our economy, social life, and political stability is regrettable.
In those troubled times, we would be remiss not to acknowledge the good people of Ondo State, the National and State party leaders of All Progressives Party (APC), and the promoters of peace and truth across Nigeria. Their interventions and support in restoring calm to Ondo State demonstrated the power of collective unity and the resilience of the Nigerian spirit.

We invite the good people of Ondo state to rally behind Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his continuity program. Show your support, not only during the forthcoming primaries but also during the gubernatorial election, by voting in a fresh Governor for a brand-new tenure of four years.
The good news is that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has a large heart hence surprisingly displaying an uncommon leadership of forgiveness in spite of the persecution. He is truly a man after God's heart. Halleluyah!
With optimism and faith, let us embark on a new chapter in Ondo State's history. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, given the opportunity, will bring about significant uplift in all areas of development. Together, let us build a prosperous, harmonious, and progressive Ondo State that we can all be proud of.
