ONDO: Ademola Taofeek Withdraws from Political Affiliation

Ademola Taofeek Adewale

Comrade Ademola Taofeek Adewale writes the leadership of the People's Democratic Party in Ondo State of his withdrawal from political participation in the state following the appointment of his boss, Dr. Olayide Adelami, as the Deputy Governor.

The Letter reads;

The Chairman,

People's Democratic Party (PDP),

Owo, Ondo State.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to officially inform you of my decision to withdraw my political affiliation from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Owo and Ondo State. This decision has been triggered by recent developments and the appointment of my former Boss, Dr. Olaide Owolabi Adelami, mni as the Deputy Governor of Ondo State.

Let me take this opportunity to express my utmost respect and gratitude to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the platform and support provided to me during my time as a member. I have had the privilege to work with dedicated individuals who share a common vision for progress and development. However, the recent appointment of Dr. Adelami has necessitated a reassessment of my political affiliation in order to protect my personal integrity.

Having maintained a close relationship with Dr. Adelami and considering his prominent role as the symbol of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in our state, I must be mindful of any doubt or suspicion that may arise from my association with him if I continue to remain within the PDP. It is important to me that my integrity remains intact and unblemished, thus, I have taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the party.

It is important to note that my decision to withdraw does not in any way undermine the respect and admiration I have for my friends within the PDP and other political parties. Politics should not hinder genuine friendships or divide us as individuals. My friends from the PDP and all other political parties will always remain invaluable treasures in my life, as our collective friendship transcends today's political associations. Together, we can make a positive impact towards the betterment of our community and society as a whole.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the PDP and all its members for the opportunities afforded to me. Please consider this letter as my formal notice of withdrawal from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Owo and Ondo State, effective immediately.

Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to maintaining our amicable relationship as we continue to work towards the betterment of our beloved state.

Yours faithfully,

COMRADE ADEMOLA TAOFEEK ADEWALE (ATA)
