The national leadership of the Nigerian Youth Frontier (NYF) has officially inducted Hon. Joseph Apev Keffi, Chairman of Makurdi Local Government Area, as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the youth-based association.
The induction ceremony, held at the Makurdi Local Government Secretariat, was attended by sons and daughters of the local government area who all gathered to witness this momentous occasion.
In his address, NYF President, Amb. Temitope Joseph, highlighted that Hon. Apev Keffi's selection followed a rigorous nomination and ratification process involving several qualified nominees. He noted that Hon. Keffi emerged with overwhelming support from the executives and members of the association due to his track record as a youth-driven leader.
“Hon. Keffi has consistently demonstrated commitment to youth empowerment, purposeful leadership, and community security. His humility, inclusive governance, and strategic initiatives – especially in establishing the Quick Response Squad (QRS) in collaboration with the state government – have positioned him as a role model for emerging leaders,” said Amb. Temitope.
The Quick Response Squad, an initiative aimed at combating insecurity within the local government, was yesterday inaugurated by the state governor through his deputy, a testament to Hon. Keffi’s proactive governance.
In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Joseph Apev Keffi expressed deep gratitude to the NYF for the honor and acknowledged the association’s relentless efforts in championing youth development across Nigeria.
“I wholeheartedly accept this role and commend the NYF for their commitment to national youth progress. I urge all young people to be exemplary ambassadors of our generation and our dear country,” he stated.
Hon. Keffi reaffirmed his dedication to mentoring the younger generation and pledged to support the NYF in achieving its vision for a better, youth-inclusive Nigeria.
