The Southwest Youth Parliament SWYP felicitates with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his inauguration as the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and urge him not to dash the Renewed hope of the masses.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, the Southwest Youth Parliament extended the congratulations of the Parliament and Youths across the Southwest region of the country, to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the victory at the polls at the General elections held on the 25th of February 2023 and inaugurated on the 29th of May 2023.
The statement reads in part "While sending you the good wishes for the exercise of your new mandate, the Parliament wishes for your success as you take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office to further strengthen the Southwest Youths in national development and most importantly enhance contexts of peace, reduction in rates of unemployment, poverty, security, human rights, underdevelopments, economic recovery, and inclusive growths among Youths in the Southwest."
The speaker, Rt Hon. Temitope Joseph emphasized that the Southwest Youths, and indeed, Nigerians are watching closely to see how you, as the newly inaugurated President of Nigeria, will deal with all extreme issues facing the nation, and we hope that Nigerians will honour their various commitments as citizens to support your efforts to overcome these issues and challenges.

Consequently, your Excellency, we as youth representatives are fully aware of the immensity of the task that lies ahead of you, but please, be rest assured of the support of the Parliament for your Presidency, and that of our willingness to accompany you and your government in building a country dominated with unity, peace and justice, where the fullness and dignity of life will be the daily experience by each and every one as an average Nigerian.
