Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola takes Oath of office at the Presidential villa held at the Council Chamber today.
He perform the rite owing to the resignation of Justice Tanko Muhammad, who resigns due to ill health as reported.
Justice Olukayode who is 62 years of age is expected to be in acting capacity until the confirmation from National Judicial Commission (NJC). If sworn in eventually, he will be in that capacity till 2030, as the President as elongated the tenure of Justices of Court to 70 years as to 65 years in service.
Olukayode, is from Iseyin, Oyo state, graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state.
