NYESOM WIKE AND THE PDP WITH NO BALLS

Former Governor of River State Nyesom Ezenwo Wike {NEW}

Those who ask for justice, must not do injustice to others – General Olusegun Obasanjo

The almighty Nyesom Ezenwo Wike {NEW} the former Governor of Rivers state has become a pain in the ass of the once glowing, once spreading, once this, once that, political party in Nigeria. It was known all over Africa as a party that held the affairs of Nigeria from 1999-2015. The party began with the Presidency of the Old Otta General, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who presided over the affairs of Nigeria after leaving prison between ‘1999-2007’, he handed over the reins of power to an ill Musa Yaradua who hails from Katsina, with a bad incident of death, Patience & Goodluck took over power up till 2015.

The PDP has sworn to a fate that they are destined to rule for 60years, but an Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will laugh at such a statement, saying this is the slippery words of a comedian, indeed the PDP was a comedy party of sorts, has Nigerians saw the best of the economy, but wonders why animals in human form swallow money in broad daylight without being fired by vigilantes, hunters, or men of the uniform, the situation of corruption is as bad, with the shielding of a corrupt person by the Patience & Goodluck regime.

Fast forward to 2015 general election, the PDP was defeated by the political actions of the All Progressives Congress, led by its National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, fielding the known anti-corruption General Muhammadu Buhari, the election brought a relief-like scene to Nigerians, but yet it was a journey to another stress of economic reversal, as the general was only good at changing the tides in a section of the economy, except that he is not good in managing the economy at its best.

The economic imbalance left by the Buhari administration gave an open slate for the PDP to return to power in the 2023 general election, but they missed the slot for the reasons of Ego, Pride, and high-handedness of the party.

WIKE, AND THE BATMAN

With Wike losing the Presidential primary election of the PDP to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Nigeria Vice President, and the insensitive PDP Chairman at that time, Iyorchia  Ayu, calling Aminu Tambuwal the ‘hero of the convention’, added salt to injury. It did not go down well with Wike who is believed to be a major financier of the party.

Hence, Wike convenes a meeting with his beloved friends who are the G-5 Governors, former Governors, Elders, and people he respects, and they conclude on what to do with respect to the abysmal betrayal by the party he has joined since 1998. He bemoans the fact that people who left the party for opportunistic reasons are being celebrated while he, Wike, who has maintained his colors over the years is being abused, it fuels the known hate-like anger already deposited in him.

Wike thereby play a card never played in the annals of the history of Nigeria, he supported Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win the 2023 Presidential election defeating Atiku, and Kwankwaso who are the major contenders in the race.

AFTER VICTORY COMES THE WOES

The whole of the PDP was plunged into anger having failed to claim victory for the party, meanwhile, the difference in the scores is quite little, it is indeed the machinery of the G-5 that played the winning card. Who would have thought after the elections a new enmity will start and a renewal of party wings will be called by those who feel they are too big to beg initially? Here, Wike wins - Atiku/PDP lose.

The National Assembly leadership election came knocking, with the PDP planning to repeat the Saraki/Ekweremadu 2015 greed game. Abdulaziz Yari and Godswill Akpabio were up on the ballot, the Presidency supported Akpabio, and pleading Yari to step down for him, but he said No, the election will have to be cast, according to a credible source, he relied on the Northern caucus vote and the support of the PDP, but he forgot he was dealing with a Tinubu, a political Jagaban, he lost, Akpabio won with the support of Nyesom Wike and the G-5. Another win for Wike, while Atiku/PDP lose.

WIKE UNLEASH THE CORD ON TAMBUWAL

Wike seems to be a fight-to-finish person, with the earlier narrated victory, Wike never stopped, and he went on with the anger of the pre-election season. The Sub-level leadership of the National Assembly was to be constituted, it was a general belief that a Tambuwal will become the Minority leader, and all other posts for the minority caucus of the Senate will be determined by the PDP. Wike outsmarted the PDP again, in a move that scared Nigerians, Wike men emerged as the Leaders of the minority caucus of the Senate and that of the House of Representatives. This angered the PDP, thereby writing the Senate that the election of the minority Caucus of the National Assembly is the prerogative of the party, not the Senate, but the Senate responded in kind with silence.

Another one, was a calculated win for Wike, whereas Atiku/Tambuwal/PDP lose.

THE UNFORGETTABLE DISRESPECT

The President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent his ministerial list to the Senate through his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and again, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike {NEW} made the list, this was the last stroke of the cane on the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for snitching on Wike, a man who was loyal to the party, supported the party in its trying moments, brought balance to it when drifting to the waters, redirected its movement when heading for the stones.

Maybe, Wike always wins when pushed to the wall!

THE PDP WITH NO BALLS

The PDP in all of this did not suspend Wike and his enablers, i.e. the Governors, Senators, Honourable, and party members loyal to him, but pampered him all the way, with a view of winning him back to the party. Keeping Wike in the PDP while allowing him to orchestrate all his plan is a blow to the leadership of the PDP, it is an affront against party supremacy and disloyalty, but the PDP led by Ambassador Illiya Damagun seems not to have the balls to strike back at Wike.

It is either they know for a fact that what they did to Wike was a very bad one, or best for the fact that if they go for Wike’s head they might be plundering further to a seen ditch of woes.

Wike is untouchable for now! Who knows, when he will be struck? For the time being, Nigerians will watch the game that will play out in the PDP as regards Wike and its handlers. “Wicked WIKE”.
