My first time gunning for what seem an election was when I was in Basic school, then I was picked for the Senior Prefect boy, I had only one limitation, my height, I was a fast and furious boy, only limited by my height, my Proprietor said, my mum did not take it lightly with the school, she requested a Proprietors test be conducted, on two occasions I won the contest, The school had to call a meeting because many of the students were cheating me with heights, I should take the punctuality prefect boy, though not satisfied, my mum conceded to the game plan. This singular action made me lose a lady I had loved to have an affair with even at that young age, she was made the Senior perfect girl. That was politics at a lower level.

Politics is a high-stakes game, where the winners get to shape the world around us. It is a game of strategy, persuasion, and charisma.

Fast forward to a later time I was barred from contesting an election due to the church I was attending at that time and being a student leader in the church, I don't know how my name got to the list of who to make this and that, it was the student union Judiciary, I picked contesting for the Chief Prosecutor, I had a challenger, I approach him to step down for me, and I will relinquish some things for him, he decided he wants to go in an open contest, maybe he has a pride he wanted to sustain, or he viewed me as a lone ranger, I played the politics in full fledge, I beat him blue black, he came by congratulating me and pledging allegiance to work with me. I brought him on board, and we had a smooth tenure. This is politics!

What I did in my case was have some foot soldiers to do my bidding for me, I only remain as the face figure meeting stakeholders, and people who matter.

Your message ought to be remembered, succinct, and clear. Also, it should be in line with the goals and concerns of the group you're trying to represent. When you win, ensure to stick by these promises, if not you will be shown the way home, don't forget "Power resides with the people".

The Democrats successfully used this method in the 2020 US election. Donald Trump the sitting President was barred from social media platforms, and they silenced him, though the actions were condemned by the electorates, the deed has been done, and nothing else matters. In politics always reach and use the media first.
