L-R: Governor Bala Mohammed and Governor Wike |
The Governor of Rivers state and presidential aspirant in the recently concluded primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party has met with Mr. Peter Obi the Presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party in Rivers State.
Just some hours after the meeting with Mr. Peter Obi, he met with the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed who also participated in the same primary election with Wike.
The reason for the meeting has not been made to the public knowledge due to the refusal to allow the media to cover the meeting, and none of the participants agree to speak with journalists after the meetings.
Today's meeting is coming days after he had a meeting with the Governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi, who was also a Presidential aspirant in the ruling All Progressive Congress.
Many Nigerians believe Nyesom Wike is likely to defect from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, after losing out at the Primary election held in Abuja.
Again, is the fact that, after being voted for by the committee set to do justice to the Vice Presidential candidate to run with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the flagbearer of the PDP, Governor Wike was voted as the best Vice Presidential candidate in a vote of 16 against 3 polled by the eventual Vice President candidate Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Even after the voting, Governor Wike was not considered.
