The United States ambassador to Nigeria Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard has on Wednesday visited the National Museum Benin-city.
He visited the Museum alongside Anne Compton. The visits to the National Museum were for the purpose "to tour the storage facility which was upgraded with the support of 2016 Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation grant" the mission said.
"The United States is committed to the protection and preservation of artifacts repatriated to Nigeria under the new bilateral cultural property agreement.", the mission concluded.
