2023: Kwankwaso meets with Nyesom Wike a day after Peter Obi's visit

The presidential candidate of the New NIgeria People's Party (NNPP) and former Governor of Kano state Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has on Friday met with the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.


The meeting which was coming a day after Peter Obi visited Nyesom Wike, in his Port Harcourt home. Governor Wike home as been a some sort of pilgrimage for politicians from different political parties.

Without press briefing after recent meetings, the meeting is believed to be connected with the forthcoming 2023 general elections, and politicians are trying to woo the Rivers state Governor to pitch his tent towards them.




Recall, Nyesom Wike was a contestant in the recently held primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, an election which saw Alhaji Atiku Abubakar a winner, and by the way the flagbearer of the PDP.


Governor Nyesom Wike is percieved to be aggrieved by the way he was treated by the PDP, after being denied of the Party's ticket, he was further denied the Vice President slot even after winning largely the vote of the advisory committee set to guide the party over her choice of Vice president.

Before Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso visited Wike, the Governor of Ebonyi state Mr. David Umahi, Mr. Peter Obi, Governor of Bauchi state Bala Mohammed, Newly appointed Senate Minority Leader Senator Philip Aduda alongside other Senators had visited Governor Wike in Port Harcourt.


In the entourage of Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was the former Governor of Ekiti state  Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, and in the meeting was Former Attorney General of the Federation Mohammed Adoke among others.
