PDP Primaries: Former Ondo Deputy Governor defeats Incumbent Senator

Former Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi

The former Ondo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Alfred Agboola Ajayi has defeated  Incumbent Senator Nicholas Tofowomo in the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party primary election. 

Agboola, who polled 78 votes to beat the Incumbent who garnered 74 votes to clinch the party ticket to contest for the Ondo South senatorial district in the 2023 general elections.

The election many observers say was too close to call, saw Ajayi winning the ticket.
