GONE, BUT FOREVER TO BE REMEMBERED: Nigeria Phoenix Club mourns the Gallant 11

Late Lt. Attahiru Ibrahim, Chief of Army staff

Death they say is inevitable. The icy hands of death is poised to rest on humans, on kings and servants alike, this is the law of nature, a debt we owe not, but entitled to pay. The demise of  Lieutenant Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria is such a shock.

Attahiru Ibrahim (10 August, 1966 – 21 May, 2021)  served as the 25th Chief of Army Staff from 26th January, 2021 until his death on 21 May, 2021 in a military plane crash near Kaduna International Airport, Kaduna State, alongside 10 other military personnel.

The demise of the Chief of Army staff is a big blow to the fight against insecurity, a fight he took 'The bull by the horn' with gains made. It should be believed and accepted that He lived and fought a good cause which posterity will always remember and applaud. Late Lt. Gen Ibrahim already played his part as a patriotic Nigeria through his gallantry display in warfare, let this be respected in memory of him. May Allah grant the families of our departed heroes the fortitude to bear the lost. Rest on heroes!

The Nigeria Phoenix Club sympathize with the family, friends and loved ones of the departed Gallant 11. May times be far from each other.

God bless Nigeria.

Signed

Isaiah O. Aladesanwa

President
